Sixth day in Spain
Sixth day in Santo-Domingo was busy and kind of crazy. We had a lot of work today because it was Friday and there were a lot of clients. Our work day started with us preparing the mushrooms for the later dish serving, next we scratched the top of the cauliflowers for the later dish decorating. Then we were told to chop the lettuce to make it look like a porridge and later it was fried in oil. This fried lettuce is served with hazelnuts, meat and marinated paprika. After we did some other small tasks, had lunch the dish serving already had started. We were helping with decorating the dishes and also we needed to put certain plates on the table. We succeeded and then we were told to clean and cut the artichokes. This task was the hardest one because there were a lot of them and we got very tired. After that we went to vacuum these artichokes for the next day. Then we helped with cleaning the whole kitchen and after that we were free to go. We got home, unpacked our bags, went to the store, came back home and cooked our dinner. For dinner we made an “Olivie” salad. This day was very helpful for our knowledge in catering!
